Part- and Full-time Faculty Positions available: Art’s and Business

Description

Faculty members are responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities.

 Responsibilities

  • Develop and/or update class syllabi
  • Submit completed mid-semester…
  • Grade student assignments… in a timely manner
  • Participate in departmental…
  • Prepare video lectures and/or conduct classes via Zoom, Skype, MS Teams, or other virtual class delivery methods if and when necessary

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in the requisite field of instruction (Master’s or terminal degree given preference; and a terminal degree is required for graduate instruction).

Teaching experience and references required.

Part- and Full-time Faculty Positions available: English/ESL instructor 

Description

Adjunct instructor of English and ESL.

 Responsibilities

  • Develop student skills in in English grammar, academic writing, and communication in mainly international students. No knowledge of foreign languages is required, but flexibility and adaptability in teaching is necessary.
  • Conduct ESL instruction based on existing curriculum and texts.
  • Should be comfortable with online as well as in-person instruction.
  • Create syllabi and lesson plans based on existing templates.
  • Maintain complete and accurate student records, including grades, attendance, etc.
  • Abide by Underwood University rules and policies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum BA in English, English Literature, or a related field (MA in English, TESOL, or a related field preferred).
  • CELTA or other ESL qualification a plus.
  • Previous post-secondary teaching experience preferred but not required.
